ANDACAL Micah's Keanu was sired by our herdsire MMALP Micah. Micah has not sired a lot of crias, but in all that he has sired the fleeces have had outstanding organization with an amazing, advanced lock structure. Four-time banner winner and full Peruvian Micah is an outstanding grandson of the great herdsire Pucara Kahuna. Micah's sire's dam LCA Elana comes from great genetics and also has quite the show record herself winning 4 banners and placing first at The Futurity. Elana was sired by Grand Marnier, a MacGyver son, and a two-time banner winner. Putting Kahuna and Elana together produced Kahuna's Casper, Micah's sire. Casper won a total of 10 banners in his show career, a Judge's Choice, and a first place at the AOBA National Fleece Show. The bottom half of Micah's pedigree is nice too. His dam Synergy's Duchess is a Sierra Bonita's MacGyver's Synergy daughter and while she was never shown herself, her sire Synergy has produced a multitude of champions. So, the top half of Keanu's pedigree is definitely loaded with championship and prepotent genetics.
Keanu's dam Jet's Keilani was sired BRKRD Goldstar's Jet. Jet is a son of the outstanding Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. Goldstar had 20 Get of Sire wins and Jet was a part of a few of those. With Jet's excellent EPD rankings, his density of 66.96 follicles/sq mm, his S/P ratio of 11.6 to 1, and a good S to P spread of only 7.3 microns, Jet also sired champion offspring. He sired the 2018 AOA Nationals Light Male Supreme Champion, Jet's Dominion, and has 4 Get of Sire wins himself. Jet's pedigree is loaded with great males including Torbio, Rockstar, Jackpot, Ramilo, Major Jax, Baron, Saber, Bruxo, MacGyver, and Uribe. It is not just the males in his pedigree as there are many championship females in it, too. Yes, we can't forget about the outstanding females and there is no way we can give all the credit for how nice Keanu's dam Keilani turned out to just Jet. Her dam Pucara Kendra is a stud production female. She had 5 previous offspring out of 5 different herdsires and all 5 of them have been multiple banner winners. Unfortunately, due to Covid Keilani wasn't shown that much to keep the Kendra's streak of producing mulitple banner winners going. Kendra's sire is Moon River's Peruvian Durango, a MacGyver son. He produced the great herdsire Chakotah of CCR Suris. In addition to Durango and MacGyver, Kendra's pedigree also includes the great herdsires Bruxo, Uribe, Allegro, and Aureo. Kendra's a very well bred female. Putting Jet and Kendra together made Keilani an elite female.
Top to bottom it's an outstanding pedigree, and it's no wonder Keanu is special. His phenotype is exemplary with it's beautiful Suri headstyle and overall fleece coverage. He has spot on conformation and a fleece that is dense, lustrous, organized, fine, and uniform. On top of that, Keanu has Keilani's sweet disposition. Unfortunately, we lost Keilani, and we can't wait to see what her son Keanu will sire for us.
